India’s government have passed a bill that would make cryptocurrency exchanges illegal. Bitcoin and altcoins trade will end, meaning it will be very hard to trade in these crypto assets. This is a big impact for cryptocurrencies as India has a lot of trading volume.
Over $10 billion per day, India is the third largest trading volume in the world. India has passed this new bill, creating a punishable offense for cryptocurrency exchanges. The Indian government feels that Bitcoin is a threat to the country, saying that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are used to ‘launder’ money, which is a punishable offense.
The maximum fine is 100,000 rupees. This would be a big impact on the Indian cryptocurrency community, as India is one of the biggest crypto communities in the world.

Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the twin suicide attacks on the touts of three churches and a street cafe in Surabaya on Sunday, that killed at least 12 people and wounded over 100.
Those killed were Indonesian citizens, and security sources have said it was the first time the group has conducted an attack in the country.
Several of the victims were foreigners, including British, Australian, Dutch and Singaporean citizens.
